‘True champions never break’ – Cristiano Ronaldo breaks silence

Cristiano Ronaldo has broken his silence after Juventus crashed out of the Champions League. ‘True champions never break! Football has memory… and so do I!”

The Ballon d’Or winner has not spoken since Tuesday’s shock exit at the hands of 10-man Porto in the Round of 16..

The last few days have seen growing reports Ronaldo wants a return to Real Madrid, having failed to make any impact on Juve’s Champions League curse.

He broke his silence with a cryptic post on Instagram.

“More important than the number of falls you take in life, is how fast and how strong you get back on your feet…

“True champions never break! Our focus is already in Cagliari, in the Serie A struggle, in the Italian Cup final and in everything that we can still achieve this season.”

The second part of the message was a little more open to interpretation about his future, past and status as the king of the Champions League.

“It’s true that the past belongs in museums (I should say!), but fortunately, football has memory… and so do I!

“History can’t be deleted, it’s written every single day with resilience, team spirit, persistence and lots of hard work. And those who don’t understand this, will never achieve glory and success.”
