Tinubu In More Trouble As EFCC Gather More Evidence Against Him – See What They Found (Details below)

The trouble which the national leader of the All Progressives Congress Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently battling is ending anytime soon.

The trouble is between him, his company Alpha Beta Consulting and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. The case is one that President Muhammadu Buhari has been silent about.

Although there have been many attempts to nab him for financial crimes in the past and Tinubu has always escaped, one wonders how this one will play out, in the long run, considering his political status and influence in Nigeria.

The EFCC have started making sure that they gather plenty and enough evidences against him this time around. The new EFCC chairman Abdul Rasheed Bawa is not new to the Tinubu cases.

They have ensured that their probe has now been extended to the Code of Conduct Bureau. The EFCC has written a letter to them and has been asking for copies of Tinubu’s asset declaration form.

Tinubu is expected to declare his assets because he is a former Governor in Lagos State and also a current politician whose influence goes beyond Lagos State.

The letter to the CCB, which was seen online in some media, showed that the EFCC had started trailing and investigating Tinubu since last year after former Chairman Ibrahim Magu was removed.

The letter, as at that time, was dated November 6, 2020, and it was signed by the former Lagos zonal head, Abdulrasheed Bawa, who is now the new Chairman of the EFCC.

The letter read in part, ” In view of the above, you are kindly requested to furnish the commission with the outstanding requested information of Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu.

” This request is made pursuant to Section 38(1) and (2) of the EFCC Act 2004. “

The problem started when a former Managing Director of Alpha Beta Consulting, Mr. Dapo Apara, had written petitions to the EFCC, accusing that the firm was evading tax.

He also accused the company that it is being run by Tinubu through proxy means but the firm had said that Apara’ s allegations were spurious.

Let’s have your take on this.
