See The Two Robbers Who Were Arrested After A Serious Gun Battle With The Police (Details below)
Two notorious arm robbers who belong to a deadly cult group and robbery gang were in the afternoon of Saturday, February 27, arrested with injuries by men of the Anambra State Police Command after the gang engage in a serious gun battle with men of the police Anti Robbery Squad Anambra state.
The level of crime rate in the country as whole is getting uncontrollable, that’ s why the police force has risen on their toes to make sure that the level of crime in the country is reduced to zero level.
The two notorious armed robbers, were identified as Chiboy Ezike, aged 25 years and Chiemere Ajuluchukwu, aged 23 years, one of them was shot by police operatives attached to the Command Special Anti- Robbery unit after they police got a distress call around 5: 30 p. m. that the armed robbers were operating along Nkpor/Obosi axis in the state.
Information gathered stated that during the gun battle, the policemen were able to shoot the two robbers in the arm and leg while other members of the gang fled, leaving their two injured colleagues behind without help.
According to a press statement released by the state police command on Saturday night through its Public Relations Officer, Haruna Mohammed, on the command Twitter page, during investigation, the two robbers confessed to be members of a secret cult group known as Aro Vikings Confraternity. ”
The statement continued that some items found in their custody included two locally- made pistols and 10 live cartridges. It was also gathered that the two robbers had been taken to the hospital for treatment after which they will be taken back to police station for interrogations.
The police commissioner who confirmed the arrest said that the police was doing everything within their power to make sure that the level of crime in the state is reduced to zero level he also assured the people that the police is always with them to make sure they are all safe.
He told newsmen that the arrested arm robbers will be charged to court as soon as possible.
