An Igbo body known as Igbo National Council, has urged the main political parties in the country to administer their presidential flags to an Igbo man for the election in 2023.

They gave this advice after their meeting in the capital city of Imo state, Owerri.

They urged the main parties such as the People’ s Democratic Party, and the All Progressives Congress to do well to consider an Igbo man for their tickets for Justice and fairness to prevail.

They cautioned that should the political parties take the demand less serious, they people of southeast would be left with only secession alternative. They say they would work towards enforcing their inalienable right to secession as enshrined in various international laws and charters.

The organization disclosed this as included in the agreements they reached in the course of their conference.

The council lamented the unreasonable damage to lives and property by the killer herders in the country.

They noted that it was an issue of immediate necessity that the country was salvaged from the current rate of insecurity, and economic, and political woes.

They asked Nigerians to refuse cow meat as a way of punishing the killer herders in the country.

They also demanded that the central administration in the country proclaim the Miyetti Allah a terrorist group for their solidarity with the killer herders, and blatant involvement in terror acts in Nigeria.

Well, the Igbo National council has spoken well, but they should understand that their call for a president of Igbo extraction is not attainable, not even now that the hater of Igbos is the president of Nigeria.

What makes some people believe that Buhari would allow an Igbo man to succeed him as the president of Nigeria? This is something that cannot happen in this generation.
