The Vice President who was virtually live, has taken to the platform of Tinubu’ s birthday at the 12th Colloquium to tell Mr President, who was present at the function, the Truth. What did he say? What was the reactions? What did the president say?

After Tinubu Finally Broke his Silence on Sunday Igboho and other persons in Yoruba land agitating for secession, he said they are all wrong in their agitations regardless, he made this known at his 12th Colloquium.

The national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has said that the Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho and others agitating for the break- up of Nigeria should be patience, no one says you are not pained, no one said there isn’ t blood shed or losses, but let’ s find another way.

It was recollected that while speaking at the 12th colloquium to mark his 69th birthday in Kano, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, said he chose Kano for the colloquium to passionately demonstrate to Nigerians at this critical period of anger and agitations that they must remain as One. Tinubu’ s peace talk came to a climax when he said:

“That a Fulani man and a Yoruba man can show the entire nation that in harmony, we can show Nigerians that perseverance creates understanding. It is a common blood that flows through our veins. ”

Osinbajo spoke on Monday at the 12th Bola Tinubu colloquium held in commemoration of Tinubu’ s 69th birthday in Kano. The Vice President, who spoke virtually, as he couldn’ t make it to Kano due to bad weather, said if Nigeria was to be broken down into smaller countries, one would need a visa to come to Kano.

In his words: ” For the purveyors of breaking up into small components, into small countries, perhaps they should be reminded that we would not have been able to accept Governor Ganduje’ s offer to come to Kano at a short notice since we would all have needed visas to come to Kano. ”

He, however, said Tinubu, had been translated from a personality to become an institution in Nigeria due to his peculiar and different kind of leadership style. Speaking further, Osinbajo said, there had been no Nigerian leader that has been instrumental in raising other leaders as Tinubu had done in the last few decades.

Osinbajo stated: ” Also central to his leadership style is the fact that he is able to lead a vast array of persons with diverse views, culture, ethnicity, religion and is completely comfortable in engaging in diverse ideas ranging from political to religious debates. ”

What this last statement implies is that, right now, a man that will pull out of religious sentiment and tribal umbrella to debate and dialogue, will be best leader for Nigeria, this is what Buhari is not, he is openly prone to be associated with tribe and religion even if he doesn’ t feel it so.

It was an indirect message to Mr President to lay aside Ethnicity and religion and solve Nigeria’ s problem, if other people are less Nigerian than others, then let them go.
