Recall that some days ago a popular Islamic preacher identified as Sheikh Gumi went into the forest to hold a conversation with some bandits.

However, many Nigerian are calling for his arrest and persecution, many are alleging that the clergyman must have hands in the crisis going on in the northern part of the country.

The clergyman has come out to react to the call of his arrest,

He said ” I am not the only one holding meeting with bandits, terrorists, and am not the first person. The only thing I struggled to do is to talk with the bandits for them to lay down their weapons and embrace peace. All I do say to them was that there is more to life, that they shouldn’ t just. ”

He went on to say that ” those who are yelling for his arrest are nothing but a fool, stating that he doesn’ t go into the forest without government approval. ”

He added that all the bandits we meet with are with government officials”.

finally, he said his conversation with the bandits is now producing positive outcomes. Anyways, This looks and sounds strange as many people find it unbelievable that government officials are connected to the bandits who are abducting people in the northern part of the country.

However, the Islamic preacher came out to disclose those who are with the bandits he met in the forest are not Fulani herdsmen but are top government officials.
