Meet This Man Who Kidnapped Two Kids For S*xual Satisfaction And Child Labour (Details below)

A 32- year- old man identified as Chibuzor Awurumibe and said to be a native of Okohia in Isiala Mbano LGA, has been arrested by operatives of the anti- kidnapping unit of the Imo state police command for reportedly kidnapping his former neighbour’ s two kids.

The suspect was arrested after the mother of the kids, Mrs. Ifesinachi Ezekwe of Irette in Owerri West LGA filed a complaint at the Divisional Police Headquarters Oru West on December 28, 2020 about the abduction of her two children; Chioma Ezekwe ‘ f’ 12yrs and China Ezekwe ‘ m’ 14yrs old.

Operatives of the anti- kidnapping unit which swung into action immediately, rescued the two children and also arrested Awurumibe on February 24, 2021. Preliminary investigation revealed that while he was using the boy for child labour, he was using the little girl for s*xual satisfaction.

Indicating a 2 month slavery and s*xual harassment

It was further discovered that he started having canal knowledge of her while they were living together at Mgbidi.

A statement released by Imo police spokesperson, Orlando Ikeokwu read;

On 28/12/2020, one Mrs. Ifesinachi Ezekwe of Irette in Owerri West LGA, Imo State, reported at the Divisional Police Headquarters Oru West, that since 28/12/2020, her neighbour, one Chibuzor Awurumibe ‘ m’ 32yrs, abducted two of her children namely: – Chioma Ezekwe ‘ f’ 12yrs and China Ezekwe ‘ m’ 14yrs old, and that all efforts to trace them proved abortive.

Sequel to the report, the Commissioner of Police, CP NASIRU MOHAMMED directed the Commands Anti Kidnapping Unit to go into the matter with a view to arrest the suspect and rescue the children, sequel to that, operatives of the Anti- kidnapping Unit swung into action and on 24/02/2021, based on painstaking and diligent investigation, the operatives arrested the said Chibuzor Awurumibe ‘ m’ , a native of Okohia in Isiala MBANO LGA, in Orlu town and rescued the two children.

Preliminary investigation revealed that while he was using the boy (Chima Ezekwe) for child labour, he was using the little girl for s*xual satisfaction. It was also revealed that he just finished having canal knowledge of the girl before his arrest.

It was further discovered that he started having canal knowledge of her while they were living together at Mgbidi. Before he decided to take them away.

Investigation is ongoing and he will be charged to court accordingly.
