If APC Succeed in Making Jonathan President in 2023, This is What Will Happen In 2027 (Details below)
There has been speculation lately that former president, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan may be gunning for the top office which is the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2023. The question lately has been, under which party?
While many are suspecting that the All Progressive Congress (APC) may be trying to get him into the party and present him as their candidate in 2023, there are others who feels the South South Man won’t be leaving the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for any other party.
Now, a lot of people have been thinking about this lately, if it is true that APC wants him then why? Don’t they have credible party loyalists and chieftains like Amaechi, Tinubu, Rochas and others, why Jonathan?
Here’s what I suspect may happen and while they’re reportedly going after him trying to lure him into the party. Recall that Jonathan has already served his first term as President, meaning he can only be President again for just one more term – 4years.
Under Nigeria’s constitution, one can only be President for eight years (two term) after which cannot contest for that office again. Here’s what I think, since the South East is pushing for Presidency, the idea is to bring Jonathan in as candidate of the Party, and he will serve his one more term and in 2027, the party will present a Northerner.
