After Being Confronted With Videos Of Herdsmen Destruction, Seyi Makinde Angrily Left PDP Platform (Details below)

The current insecurity rocking the country especially the South West region has been causing infighting among the political class viz a viz the Fulani herdsmen issue.

This is the case with the Oyo state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as the crisis engulfing the party took another turn on Saturday night with Seyi Makinde, the governor of the state, left the official WhatsApp platform of the party in the state in what I could best describe as in an angry manner.

His anger was as a result of a video earlier shared on the WhatsApp platform which was showing an allege Fulani herdsmen attack on the people of Ayete, headquarters of Ibarapa North Local Government Area, by the Publicity Secretary of the party, Akeem Olatunji.

The video was a call to action to the governor to ensure that urgent steps are taken in order to save the people of Ayete from incessant attacks by Fulani herdsmen, but the video instead lead to the governor becoming angry as his reply to the chat shows.

Olatunji had written concerning the video, saying that the video has gone viral but the authority needs to confirm the claim while noting that it is very urgent to the message to be addressed.

Makinde in reacting to the statement made by Olatunji at exactly 10: 07 pm, commented that every time some idiots makes a video, the government must respond. Saying he does not get it really. Going further he said you need mature people to make meaningful contributions on your platform.

In another reaction to a story regarding allegations of violence at the ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC) membership revalidation/registration. Makinde then asked of what relevance was that story on the PDP official platform.

Governor Makinde thereafter left the WhatsApp platform angrily.
