TRAGIC! Armed Robbers Killed This Man After Robbing A Hotel, They Thought He Was Calling The Police (Details below)

Armed robbers killed an Ibadan-based socialite, Olaleye Ajibola, popularly called “Gatuso” on Saturday, January 23rd.

Ajibola was shot dead at the Town House Hotel, owned by a prominent politician in Oyo State.

The deceased was reportedly planning to propose to his girlfriend on Sunday, January 24.

It was gathered that the victim arrived at the hotel with some of his friends when he ran into the robbers, who were fleeing after stealing valuables belonging to employees and guests.

The assailants sighted Ajibola making a call and shot him at a close range. His body had since been deposited in the mortuary.

Spokesperson of the Oyo State Police Command, Olugbenga Fadeyi, who confirmed the incident said the gunmen had arrived the hotel pretending to be guests.

“Teslim Akinpelu, aka Gatuso, was shot dead by four armed men at Town Hotel, NTC, Iyaganku, around 12.45 am. The gunmen pretended to be lodgers before carrying out their evil intention,” he said.

Some travellers have been allegedly attacked and kidnapped along Benin-Ore road.

An empty bus with doors open wide was found in the middle of the expressway along Benin-Ore Road.

According to locals, the occupants of the bus were attacked and kidnapped, leaving behind the vehicle and luggage of the victims.

Footage shows that the windows of the bus were broken during the alleged attack on the travellers.

Locals who claimed to witness the attack said the kidnappers came out of the bush.

Other travellers that witnessed the alleged attack abandoned their vehicles and ran in different directions.

A Nigerian mother has died of shock after being informed of the tragic death of her three children, who are final year students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo state.

In a Facebook post, a former spokesman for the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, Mr Joe Igbokwe, said the mother of the three siblings killed in the crash also died of shock on Saturday after hearing the sad news about her children.

Igbokwe’s post was titled: ‘I am in deep pains and totally diminished as a mortal’.

He wrote, “An accident occurred yesterday (Saturday) in Akungba, Ondo State….these three guys were from same parents, a trailer crushed the three of them together in their shop and they all died instantly. Their mum died on the spot on hearing the news. Two of them are final year students of Ondo State University…….”
