United States Reps member, representing California’s 37th district, including Los Angeles, South LA and Culver city, and also chair of the congressional black caucus, Karen Bass has asked and urged President Joe Biden’s administration to join the 163 member countries of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) in supporting the nomination of Dr. Okonjo Iweala of Nigeria to head the world trade organisation.

Karen Bass of the United States stated this on her official twitter handle, adding that Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is uniquely qualified and has the visokn to help the World Trade Organisation (WTO) evolve during these unprecedented times.

Recall that last year, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala of Nigeria was nominated as the Director General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO). But this was not supported by the United State’s representative under the Trump administration.

Now in the Biden administration, there might be hope that the United States may support the nomination of Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala as the Director General of the WTO.
