Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly reportedly wants to join Manchester United, with player said to be the one that manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been coveting ‘for a long time’.

The defender has long been linked with a move away from the Serie A side but he remained at the Stadio San Paolo this summer despite links with the likes of United, Manchester City and Liverpool.

And, now, according to Spanish outlet Marca, Koulibaly could finally be on the move, with United said to be his potential destination. The report claims that the 29-year-old wants to make the move to Old Trafford and that Solskjaer is a fan of the player.

Koulibaly’s current deal with Napoli runs until 2023 and a summer move could be on the cards.
