As the level of insecurity worsen in our country. The situation has put the citizens in fear of who might be the next victim of such act, there is no doubt that the federal government have being making efforts to curb insecurity in the country, but the truth is their best is not enough. Take for instance the Boko Haram insurgency that has being carrying out their evil and immoral activities for years now, have not been stop. And I will also commend the Nigeria soldier for their endless effort toward securing live and property.

Therefore the way forward is to regional security network for better security system. The South West geopolitical zone in Nigeria decided to create theirs called “Western Nigeria Security Network, Amotekun” and the South East together with the South South have “Eastern Security Network, EST”

# Western Nigeria Security Network (Amotekun)

The Western Nigeria security network, popularly known as “Amotekun”. Is a security network set up by the South West geopolitical zone in Nigeria to curb insecurity in the region. It was established on 9, January 2020 in Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State, Nigeria. It is also the first regional security outfit founded by a geopolitical zone in Nigeria. It headquarters is fixed in Oyo state, lbadan. The motto of the Amotekun is; “Zero Tolerance To Crime” and has the Nigeria government recognition.

# Eastern Security Network (ESN)

The Eastern security network, abbreviated as “EST” was recently launched by the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. on the 14th of this month, which is December 2020. The eastern security network (EST) was founded or established with the same goal as the western Nigeria security network amotekun, that’s securing lives and properties in that region. EST has access to only the South East and South West geopolitical zone in Nigeria. But this outfit has not being recognized by the Nigerian government yet.

Reasons Why The Eastern Security Network Will Be More Powerful Than The Amotekun Is Below

* Those into the security network are not paid for it, but for the love in defending their motherland and for the money to be paid

* Despite IPOB is a proscribed group in Nigeria, these young men in EST see the importance of securing their land since their governors fails to do so

* Those in EST take the risk to train in an unknown location just because they want to protect their land and they obey only one command; Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

* Even though the partakers doesn’t have the support from their governors, they still go for what is right
