Man Jumps To His Death While Fleeing For Safety (Details below)
Tragedy happened in Onitsha Wednesday afternoon when a middle aged man jumped to his death while trying to escape from danger
A statement issued by the Federal Road Safety Commission which confirmed the the death stated that a shuttle bus had a tyre burst at about 2.50pm and one of the male passengers in an attempt to escape death jumped off the bus.
Unfortunately, just as he landed on the road a Mercedes Benz truck crushed him.
The statement read: “One person died and others sustained varying degree of injuries in a fatal crash at about 1450 hrs on 16th December 2020.”
“It involved a Suzuki Shuttle bus with registration number NKE46XA and a Mercedes Benz truck with registration number JJT613XA along Awka- Onitsha high way by new parts.”
According to eye withness a total of 4 persons were on board consisting of (4) male adults.
The bus suffered a tyre bust while on a high speed and one male adult passenger in the bus jumped off the bus and was crushed by on coming truck.
The injured were taken to an undisclosed hospital by good Samaritan before the arrival of Frsc rescue team. While the dead was deposited at Boromi hospital by Frsc rescue team.
