Top Ghanaian Dancehall artist, Charles Nii Armah Mensah popularly called Shatta Wale has weighed in on the controversies surrounding the arrest of Nigerian singers, Omah Lay and Tems in Uganda for violating COVID-19 laws in the country.
Taking to his Twitter page, Shatta Wale put himself in Omah Lay’s shoes and said that if it was him, he would have been arrested for 6 years.
The ‘Melissa’ hitmaker made this assertion on this basis of the fact that colleagues in Nigeria have raised their voices calling for the release of the two singer which shows how Nigerian artists love and support each other unlike Ghana where his colleagues would have left him to his own fate.
He tweeted,
If it was shatta wale that was Arrested in Uganda like some people in our music industry will try their possible best for them to jail me like 6years
