Drama As Two Police Officers Fought Publicly In Edo State Over Money Issues (Video)

Following the trending news that was going on in the social media concerning the two police men fighting in Edo over who will collect money from an Okada rider.

It was gathered that two police men were caught in short video fighting in Edo state on the 25th of April 2020.

Eye withdness report gathered that the two police men whom their names were identified as Corporal Ozimende Aidonojie and Salubi Stephen were having a serious argument over who will collect money from an okada rider.

The argument resulted to a big fight & people gathered to watch them.

This issue happened in Ebele in Igueben local government of Edo state


The two officer’s were seen fighting heavily.

In the video, some people who gathered around the scene tried to stop the officers from throwing punches at themselves all to no avail.

A video capturing the fight between the cops, Corporal Ozimende Aidonojie and Salubi Stephen, had gone viral on Thursday 25th April 2020. They pummelled each other to the ground as some members of the public tried to separate them in the presence of a crowd. In the background, an onlooker who appeared to be videoing the scenario derided the officials, saying “See Nigeria police o; see them, they are fighting. “Click the video below & watch it fully. Reacting to this issue, the inspector General of Police, IGP Mohammed Adamu, has issued an order for the arrest of two policemen caught on video fighting each other in Edo State.

In the 1: 36 minute long video shared on Twitter by @parodyspokesman, the two policemen are seen fighting while some persons try to hold them back. A tweet by the verified Twitter handle of the Nigeria Police, @PoliceNG, on Thursday evening, identified the two cops as Corporal Ozimende Aidonojie (F/NO. 491112) and Constable Salubi Stephen (F/NO. 516384).

The message by the Force Public Relations Officer, Force Headquarters, Abuja, DCP Frank Mba revealed that the policemen are currently in detention and facing disciplinary action. It reads: “The two policemen, F/NO 41112 CPL Ozimende Aidonojie and F/NO 516384 PC Salubi Stephen in this viral video have been identified, arrested and detained. They are currently undergoing internal disciplinary sanctions at the Edo State Police Command Headquarters.


“In the best tradition of transparency and accountability, the outcome of the trial will be made public. This, we believe, will also serve as deterrent to other police officers. “It’s unfortunate indeed that officers of law are were seen fighting in public while they are the ones who have the sole responsibility to punish those who infringe the law but they are the offending the law.
