See the winner after Falz, Atiku, Tinubu, Peter Obi, were all voted for by 1,624 people on Twitter

An online poll was conducted on twitter and has just been completed after 4 days (96 hours) of voting by twitter users. The twitter voting poll was commenced on the 2nd of November 2020, and was carried out by a page called “Naija_247,” with the intention to see who people will vote for, assuming the four major contestants to become the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2023 are; Folarin Falana (Falz), Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar, and Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

After its completion on the evening of 5th November 2020, they were able to carry out a sample voting totalling one thousand, six hundred and twenty four (1,624) votes, and the final decision of the people was intriguing.

Before we proceed to see the results of the online votes, it can be recalled that similar pseudo poll was carried out by Ben Bruce, with former Governor and vice-presidential candidate Peter Obi emerging winner.

However, this pseudo poll hosted by “Naija_247,” has lasted for 96 hours and the first contestant amassed just 5% of the votes.

In 2019, Atiku Abubakar under the umbrella of the people’s democratic party (PDP), contested to become Nigeria’s president but lost to President Muhammadu Buhari.

Interestingly, in this pseudo poll, he could get just 5% of the votes, which is about 82 votes out of the 1,624 total votes cast.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the next on line. The 2023 presidential hopeful, and likely aspirant for presidency under the All progressive Congress (APC), could get only 8% of the total votes. This percentage of votes amounts to about 130 votes our of the 1,624 votes that were cast.

Peter Obi, the man who contested alongside Atiku Abubakar as Vice President hopeful in 2019, surprisingly gathered more votes. The former Governor of Anambra state got a whooping 21% of the votes, which is about 342 of the total votes that were cast.

Folarin Falana, the son of Femi Falana and a musician, was voted as the people’s choice. The man whose voice was heard clearly during the heat of the EndSARS protests, was voted the most by people, coming out winner with 66% of the total votes.

I can assume that Falz, was able to gather about 1,072 votes out of the total 1,624 votes because of his involvement in the protests, and how people think that it is time for the older politicians to give way.

Now that you have seen the choices of other people, who do you think should become the President of Nigeria, assuming these four people are to contest for the Presidency in 2023?
