22-Year-Old University Student Who Was Raped And Killed In A Church, Laid To Rest Today- See Photos.

Vera Uwaila Omozuwa, the 22-year-old student at the University of Benin who was rapped and murdered at a Redeemed Christian Church of God in Benin City, Edo State has been laid to rest today,November 13.

During the COVID-19 induced lockdown in May 2020, Uwaila had gone to read her books at the church but she was attacked, raped and she died later at a hospital. This act angered many Nigerians and in August six suspects were arrested.

Details of Uwaila’s burial was posted by the Student Union Government President of the University of Benin, Aurthur Darlington Benjamin Agu via his Facebook page.

He wrote;

“Burial of Miss Omozuwa Vera Uwaila.May Her Gentle soul, rest in perfect Peace…Amen. On behalf of all Students of University of BENIN, We say #Goodnight to Miss Vera Omozuwa Uwaila.”
