‘Are You From Niger Republic?’ – Reno Questions Buhari’s Birthplace For Approving $1.9 billion Railway Contract From Katsina to Niger

President Muhammadu Buhari has been called out for approving the building of a railway from Katsina to Niger.

Reno Omokri, a former presidential aide has questioned President Muhammadu Buhari, asking if he is actually from Nigeria after he approved a $1.9 billion contract to build a railway from Katsina to Niger Republic..

This comes as Nigerians lashed out at the president over the contract arguing that the country can’t boast of railway lines in most states let alone building one that leads to another country.

Joining the attack, Reno raised questions on Buhari’s birth place.

He took to Twitter and wrote:

“General @MBuhari should say what is so special about Niger, that with dwindling income, when foreign debt has risen from $7 billion in 2015, to $31 billion in 2020, he awarded a $1.9 billion contract to build a railway from Katsina to Niger. Is he from Niger?
The $1.9 billion rail contract to Niger is troubling. In fact, looking back to ex military dictators and the strong similarities of their names with names from Niger, we cant swear that a foreigner has not ruled Nigeria in the past, and is not ruling her now!”
