Twitter users lash out at Mercy Eke for mocking fans of #BBNaija reality show

Former Big Brother housemate and winner of the 2019 ”Pepper dem’ edition of the reality show, Mercy Eke, has faced a lot of backlash from Nigerians for saying that she’s too busy, unlike those who sit at home to watch Big Brother.

The Reality TV star in a video via her Insta story on Tuesday slammed those who are expecting her to support the new housemates..

She also stated that she was furious with her fans, who always tagged her on the housemate’s social media accounts, asking her to support those they were supporting.

She said, “Those of you tagging me to like or support who you want, are you mad?

”I came to the show I did my best and won, and now I have to keep hustling to make ends meet.

”I have a lot to do, a lot to be done rather than sit at home and watch the show as some of you.

”This is stuff is pissing me off, and the worse part is that I don’t even know any of “those people” in the house, and no one can force me to watch or support them.”

However, her rude and arrogant statements rubbed a cross-section of Nigerians off the wrong way, and they took to Twitter to lash out at her.

While some emphasized the fact that she didn’t deserve to win the show, yet they used their hard-earned money to vote for her, some of her fans expressed how disappointed they were.
