Two Die After Lagos Container-Laden Truck Falls On Bus

A container-laden truck has fallen on a commercial bus in the Ilasamaja area of Mile 2, Lagos State, killing persons, on Sunday.

According to PUNCH Metro the two casualties are yet-to-be-identified persons who became victims of after the diver of the truck drove recklessly with speed, losing control of the vehicle and rammed into the commercial bus around a bridge in Ilasamaja..





Some of the passengers on the bus were reportedly disembarking when tragedy struck.

Due to the impact of the collision, the container reportedly fell on the bus and killed Truck, Containertwo passengers. Three others, including the bus driver, were injured.

Three other passengers were reportedly rescued unhurt by emergency responders, who visited the scene of the incident.

Reacting to the accident, the Director-General of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, said the injured victims were taken to hospital for treatment, stressing that two persons died.

He also stated that, “Upon arrival at the scene, it was discovered that a truck, with the number plate, SGM 715 XA, loaded with a 20ft container, ram into a commercial bus stationed at the Ilasa under bridge, which was discharging some of its passengers.
