Redknapp hails Man United for signing Ighalo, Fernades
Former Premier League player, Jamie Redknapp, has given his judgement on Manchester United stars, Bruno Fernandes and OdIon Ighalo ahead of the Red Devils’ Premier League derby against Manchester City on Sunday at Old Trafford.
Fernandes and Ighalo both joined Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side last January transfer window from Portuguese league and Chinese league respectively.
But Redknapp believes Fernandes and Ighalo have been brilliant for United so far this season.
According to him, the duo are inspired signings and have made the difference in Solskjaer’s side.
“The signing of Fernandes has been huge for Manchester United. Sometimes it only takes one player to change the feeling and the team,” Redknapp said on the Sky Sports podcast.
“The Portugal international has been brilliant for the club and he now looks like quite a cheap signing.
“Ighalo as well has been brilliant. There was no doubt about the striker’s ability.
“Both Ighalo and Fernandes are inspired signings because United needed someone to come in and make a difference.”
