Borussia Dortmund climbed back to second place in the Bundesliga with a routine victory against Werder Bremen, thanks to goals from Dan-Axel Zagadou and Erling Braut Haaland.

Erling Braut Haaland on target again to send Dortmund back to second in Bundesliga and heap pressure on Bayern Munich.

After a dull first half without a shot on target, Lucien Favre must have grilled his Dortmund side at half-time as they came out swinging at the Weserstadion.

In the 52nd minute, Jadon Sancho’s curling corner was met with a powerful volley from defender Dan-Axel Zagadou to give Dortmund a crucial lead. It was the Frenchman’s first goal of the season.

Who else but the in-form Erling Braut Haaland to double Dortmund’s lead? The striker latched onto a cutback from Achraf Hakimi and lashed the ball into the top corner. A devastating finish from a devastating player.
