Andy Ruiz reveals why Anthony Joshua beat him, declares 3rd fight
Former heavyweight champion, Andy Ruiz, has said he lost to British heavyweight, Anthony Joshua in their rematch on Saturday night because he gained too much weight during the preparation.
Joshua beat Ruiz Jr. in their highly anticipated rematch.
The fight took place in Saudi Arabia and saw Joshua emerging the champion after 12 rounds of intense duel.
This victory hands Joshua back his WBO, IBF, WBA belts that were taken from him following his defeat to Ruiz in their first fight.
After the match, Ruiz yelled into the microphone, shouting “Who want to see the third fight?
“I gained too much weight…”
