Femi Fani-Kayode, former Aviation Minister, on Sunday gave an insight into why President Muhammadu Buhari has refused to ensure the release of Leah Sharibu from Boko Haram captivity.
Fani-Kayode alleged that Buhari refused to effect the release of Sharibu because she is a Christian.Sharibu was abducted by Boko Haram insurgents on the night of February 19, 2018 alongside her schoolmates from Government Science College, Dapchi in Yobe State.
The abducted student has remained in custody of the insurgents for refusing to denounce her Christian faith, while others were released.
However, the former Minister in a tweet wrote: “Buhari sent a message to Christians when he failed to effect the release of Leah Sharibu.
“All the other girls were released because they were Muslims but Leah was left behind for refusing to renounce her faith. Message: become a Muslim and find favour, remain a Christian and suffer.”DON'T MISS: Download Edujandon.com News app and get latest news updates directly to your phone!
