What Mikel Obi said after Middlesbrough’s 1-0 win over Blackburn

Middlesbrough midfielder, John Obi Mikel has reacted to his side’s Championship 1-0 away win over Blackburn on Sunday.

A first-half goal from Britt Assombalonga gave Middlesbrough all three points against Blackburn.

Mikel Obi, who was impressive throughout the full 90 minutes against the hosts, posted a video of two little girls on Twitter, who chanted his name after the game, saying: “Beyond adorable cute performance, thank you to these two little stars.
“So much love and support from our Boro fans for the team and myself #amazing.”
The win over Blackburn moved Tony Pulis’ side to playoffs zone, as they stand a chance of returning to the Premier League next season.
