Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, on Tuesday staged a protest at the front of Nigeria High Commission in London demanding the release of Leah Sharibu from Boko Haram captivity.

Recall that 15-year-old Sharibu was abducted on the night of February 19, last year, alongside her schoolmates of Government Science college, Dapchi in Yobe state.
However, the teenager was not released by her captors because she refused to denounce her Christian faith, while the other girls were freed by the terrorist group.

Meanwhile, during the protest in London, Omokri claimed to have spoken to Leah’s mother, Rebecca, who reportedly thanked the protesters for drawing global attention to the plight of her daughter.
Reno shared some photographs of the protest on his Facebook page and wrote: “Marking a year of Leah Sharibu’s captivity in front of Nigeria’s High Commission London. #FreeLeahSharibu.
“I also spoke to Leah’s mum, Rubeccah Sharibu (not Rebecca) on speakerphone where she thanked the protesters and we shared a word of prayer with her.”
