Atiku Abubakar made a bold political statement in Katsina – the home-state of President Muhammadu Buhari with the size of the crowd he gathered.
Atiku Abubakar, a presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party is ready to give President Muhammadu Buhari a run for his money at his backyard with the crowd he pulled yesterday.

Many expected a low turn-out considering Buhari’s level of popularity in Katsina coupled with the fact that the state is also being governed by an All Progressives Congress governor, Aminu Bello Masari.

Atiku defied all odds in a show of popularity which is bound to give Buhari and his supporters some worries. The actual crowd size remains unknown but going by the aerial pictures available, it was indeed a landmark achievement for the 72 year old politician.

Atiku has remained confident about beating Buhari at the presidential poll of February 16, 2019 as long as the contest is free and fair.
