President Muhammadu Buhari and Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka of the Adoration Ministry Enugu, met today at the State House, Abuja, behind closed-door.
Report from Abuja said the controversial Reverend Father came into the villa in a private maroon BMW car, and accompanied by a lady.

The meeting lasted for about 35 minutes, reported NAN. It was reported that Mbaka refused to speak to newsmen after the meeting.
But political watchers predicted that it’s was part of the strategic moves of the ruling party All Progressive Congress (APC) to make sure President Buhari returns to office after the February 16, Presidential election.
In Nigeria, men of God are influential over their congregation and could wield such influence to persuade their followers to vote for recommended candidates.
He was once quoted as saying that “President Buhari is change, but former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is `bureau de change’.”

In 2017, Mbaka urged President Muhammadu Buhari to ensure that his administration tackles the challenges facing the country.
He advised the President to tackle the challenges facing the country through a robust leadership in the New Year, saying “many Nigerians are suffering.
“Though the President is trying on corruption and security, Nigerians are hungry; they want to see more changes. There is the need to assist businessmen and women in their businesses.”
He also advised the President to appoint experts who would help him to revive the economy. The cleric asked the President to consult Church leaders and eminent men of God to advise him and tell him the truth about the economy.

“We cannot reach him for advice because of the kind of people around him,” he added.
He then urged Nigerians to be patient and be prayerful “as your sufferings and hardships would be over in 2017. “Nigeria is set to be great again.”
He was once quotes as saying saying there will be more trouble for the Igbo if they eventually actualise Biafra. Father Ejike Mbaka warned the people of South-East Nigeria against seceding from Nigeria. He feared that such a move could lead to more trouble for them. Mbaka said he disagreed with the claims that the Igbo are being marginalised.

He said he was sure that if Biafra was eventually actualized, the people would face more trouble than they were currently facing in Nigeria. His words: “If you think we have trouble in Nigeria now, we will see more trouble in Biafra. No Anambra man would let an Enugu man be President and no Imo man would let an Abakaliki man be President.”
Some people have criticised Mbaka and other men of God for their closeness to politicians, while others believe that there nothing wrong with it.
