Acting CJN, Tanko Muhammad presides over Supreme Court’s sitting
The Supreme Court has resumed sitting on Monday with the Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria , Justice Tanko Muhammad , presiding over a five – man panel of the court .
Monday is the first working day after the last Friday’ s suspension of the CJN , Justice Walter Onnoghen , by President Muhammadu Buhari .
Justice Muhammad was immediately sworn in by President Buhari , in the stead of Onnoghen , on Friday.
Others sitting alongside Justice Muhammad on the panel at the Monday ’ s sitting are Justices Mary Peter -Odili , Kudirat Kekere – Ekun , Amiru Sanusi and Paul Galinje .
There are 10 cases listed for hearing on the Supreme Court’ s Monday ’ s cause list published on the court ’ s website .
