Ed Woodward breaks silence on Manchester United’s form under Mourinho
Manchester United executive vice-chairman, Ed Woodward, has admitted that the club has had a “mixed” start to the season.
Woodward has been present at matches in recent months amid uncertainty over manager Jose Mourinho’s future.
During a conference call on Thursday where he addressed United’s quarterly financial results, he spoke about United’s start to the season.
“We are well positioned in the Champions League and there has been a mixed start to the domestic campaign.
“The squad and manager are fully united in their aim to gain momentum in the Premier League,” he said, according to the UK Mirror.
Mourinho’s men are currently 12 points off Premier League leaders, Manchester City and seven off Champions League places.
