Real Madrid Eye Conte As Lopetegui’s Replacement
Julen Lopetegui Argote might be sent back to the labour market following the under-performance of the Real Madrid team.
Antonio Conte is the No. 1 target in Real Madrid’s potential coaching search, although hiring the Italian could have big ramifications.
According to the Mirror, Conte is looking for a long-term deal with the club, and leadership isn’t quite convinced about giving to him.
Furthermore, the hiring of Conte would likely end the club’s pursuit of Eden Hazard given the difficult relationship between the manager and the Belgian winger. The pair did not appear to end on good terms at Chelsea
Chelsea will be watching the situation closely as the Premier League club looks to keep hold of Hazard while also getting out of Conte’s severance package should the coach find a new job.

The France international has struggled since moving to Camp Nou last summer from Dortmund, and could lose his place to Malcom.
Indeed, should the Brazilian take his chance, it could scupper Arsenal’s hopes of signing him, while potentially putting Dembele on the market.
