Lionel Messi has been spotted inside the stadium with his injured hand in a sling as he watched Barcelona play against Inter Milan.
Lionel Messi was forced to watch Barcelona vs Inter Milan from the stands after suffering a fractured arm.
The football star was in the stands to watch Barcelona take on Inter in their Champions League showdown on Wednesday night.

He arrived the stadium with his hand in a sling

The 31-year-old was pictured wearing a sling to support his fractured arm after suffering the injury last weekend.

Messi collided with Sevilla ace Mudo Vazquez and landed awkwardly, damaging his radial bone in the process.

The issue could rule Messi out for a month of action depending on how quickly Barcelona are willing to rush him back onto the field.

He is certainly ruled out of this weekend’s El Clasico showdown with Real Madrid.

Boss Ernesto Valverde replaced Messi with Rafinha in the line-up against Inter.

The Brazilian star opened the scoring in the game as he started alongside Philippe Coutinho and Luis Suarez in the front three.

Ousmane Dembele is expected to see increased game time in Messi’s absence.

Summer signing Malcom could also enjoy a chance to impress in the side, though Messi will be straight back into the XI once he has fully recovered.

For now, Messi will enjoy soaking up the action from the stands.

He sat with his son, Thiago, to enjoy the Inter game, though he would have been itching to get involved in the clash of the European heavyweights.
