Defection: Senator Akpabio meets with Tinubu (Photos)

A former Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Godswill Akpabio, has been pictured with the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Monday.

According to Tinubu’s media aide, Tunde Rahman, in a release sent to DAILY POST, Akpabio paid the former Lagos Governor “a courtesy visit in Abuja”.

Akpabio, who won his seat in the Senate on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), is believed to be set to decamp to the ruling party.

The Senate Minority Leader’s meeting with Tinubu, comes after he met with President Muhammadu Buhari in London, UK.

He is expected to be received into APC on Thursday by Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo and other top leaders of the party at a rally in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State.
