Community In Shock As Man Hangs The Husband Of Heavily Pregnant Woman In Ekiti

A man has reportedly hanged another man who happens to be the husband of a heavily pregnant woman in Ekiti state.
According to a Vanguard report, Agbado Community, Gboyin Local Government Area of Ekiti State, wore a mournful look on Thursday, as a middle aged man, simply identified as Toyin was reported to have hanged another yet to be identified man in a farm settlement in the community, Gbonyin Local Government Area of Ekiti State.

A resident of the community, Ajayi Seun said that the suspect had called his victim, a commercial motorcyclist in the community and secured his service to transport him to his farm which is located in front of an abandoned factory of Senator Gbenga Aluko, near Ode Ekiti.

Toyin, newsmen gathered had forcefully overpowered his victim and forcefully hanged him with a rope and dumped his corpse inside an already dug grave in the farm settlement.

According to a source, “Toyin had gone to the terminal of the commercial motorcyclist in Agbado this morning and engaged the service of his victim to convey him to his farm which is located in front of the shoe making factory of the popular politician and former senator, Gbenga Aluko.

People who were at the factory told newsmen that the bubble burst when they heard agonizing cry of Toyin’s victim repeatedly and decided to check up what had happened, it was then they allegedly met Toyin dumping the corpse of his victim into the freshly dug hole and apprehended him and later handed him over to the nearest police station in the area.

“The police had since morning arrested Toyin with the corpse and taken them away to their station,” he said, adding that the deceased’s heavily pregnant wife had also reported at the station when informed about the tragedy that befell her husband.

When contacted on phone to confirm the incident, Police Public Relations Officer, Ekiti State Command, Caleb Ikechukwu, said he was yet to be briefed on the development, he promised to get back once he was briefed.
