Champions League draw: Pots for groups confirmed
Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham will get their Champions League group stage opponents today.
This is as pots for the groups have been confirmed ahead of today’s draws in Monaco.
The final qualifying fixtures concluded on Wednesday night and the seedings have now been released with the full line-up confirmed.
Manchester City are in pot one along with defending champions Real Madrid, Europa League winners Atletico Madrid and respective European league winners Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Lokomotiv Moscow.
The remaining clubs are ranked by the UEFA coefficient rankings, which is based on their performance in European competition over the past five seasons.
Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are both placed in pot two, along with Borussia Dortmund, Porto, Shakhtar Donetsk, Napoli and Roma.
Liverpool are joined in pot three by Schalke, Lyon, Monaco, CSKA Moscow, Ajax, PSV Eindhoven and Valencia.
Pot four consists of Viktoria Pizen, Club Brugge, Galatasaray, Young Boys, Inter Milan, Hoffenheim, Crvenazvezda and AEK Athens
