One Crushed To Death, Others Injured As Train Averts Commercial Bus Collision In Lagos

One person has been reportedly crushed to death while others are seriously injured as a train tried to avert a commercial bus collision on Friday in Lagos.

One person has been confirmed dead and two others injured after a train averted a collusion with an abandoned commercial bus on Friday morning at Pen Cinema, Agege area of Lagos Mainland.

According to reports, the three victims were sitting atop the train when it veered upon sighting the bus from afar. The train was said to have continued its journey, oblivious of the casualties.

Eyewitnesses who spoke to a correspondent, said the deceased fell on the rail line and was shredded by the moving train, while the other two fell by the bus, losing some body parts.

Some local hoodlums who were obviously angered by the incident, reportedly set the bus ablaze as onlookers rushed the injured to nearby Orile-Agege General Hospital.
