#WorldCup 2018: Super Eagles Coach, Gernot Rohr blasts Germany players over early elimination
Super Eagles German manager, Gernot Rohr has reacted to his country’s shock exit from the 2018 World Cup.Germany crashed out of the World Cup on Wednesday after suffering a shock 2-0 loss to South Korea.
Germany, the current World Cup holders, also finished bottom of the Group F.
”It was not a team. Maybe the big teams never die, but Germany is not a great team based on these three group matches,” Rohr was quoted as saying by French radio station Europe1.
”This year it was not a team, this team did not deserve to qualify for the knockout stages.”
Rohr, whose Nigerian side also crashed out of the tournament on Tuesday, concluded by saying that the German national team players were arrogant and did not live up to expectations.
