The Executive chairman of Umuahia north local government area of Abia state, Mr. Chidiebere Nwachukwu has told President Muhammadu Buhari, to jettison his second term bid and allow younger generation to take over from him in 2019.

According to the chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Buhari has failed to live up to the expectations of the majority of Nigerian people, saying that the President would be voted out of office if he contested again.

The council boss, in a chat with DAILY POST in Umuahia, the state capital on Sunday, said “President Muhammadu Buhari has failed in all facets of governance in the country. He has failed the people”.

“If I were him, I will go and relax and hand over to a younger person that have the energy and focus. Buhari has failed in many areas, particularly in securing lives and property of Nigerians.

“Buhari has done nothing to end the Boko Haram and herdsmen attacks in some parts of the country. He is a disaster.

“Mr. President should step down for another person. Let him handover to the PDP that has been doing well before he came into power”.
