Robbers Invade Super Falcons Camp In Gambia
The hotel camp of the Super Falcons of Nigeria in The Gambia has been reportedly invaded by armed robbers in the early hours of Wednesday, June 6.
Nigeria’s female national football team, the Super Falcons, have fallen victims of robbery attack in their camp in The Gambia as thieves reportedly invaded their base in that country.
The Nigerian players according to the report by Telegraph are said to have been robbed of their valuable items during the attack in Banjul.
But the report did not state if any of the Super Falcons players was hurt or injured during the ugly accident ahead of their match with Gambia.
Super Falcons who are the African champions and are currently in Banjul, are scheduled to face Gambia in a qualifier for the 2018 African Woman Championship.
As at the time of filling this report, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have not made an official statement on the reported robbery.
20 Super Falcons players made the trip to Gambia under their new coach Thomas Dennerby who had earlier confirmed his wards readiness for the encounter.
