EPL: Arsene Wenger reveals how Arsenal can win title next season

Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has revealed what his side need to do next season to challenge for league title.
Wenger, who announced in a statement last month that he would be leaving the Gunners at the end of the current season after 22 years with the club, ending a long tenure that got him three Premier League titles, believes his squad needs just two or three additions to compete for title.

The Frenchman will end his final season as Arsenal boss with a sixth-placed finish, regardless what happens in his final two Premier League games.

The 68-year-old takes the Gunners to Leicester on Wednesday evening in the Premier League fixture before his final match as manager on Sunday at Huddersfield.

Wenger, however, insists that the group of players he has assembled do not need much work to challenge for title next season.

“The squad doesn’t need much,” Wenger told reporters ahead of Arsenal clash with Leicester City on Wednesday.

“There is huge potential in there and good spirit.

“There’s a good basis. We need two or three additions and this team will compete for the title next season.

“We don’t need massive spending. You are seeing defenders go for £70million.

“It is difficult to know what is a lot.”
