Brighton defeat Manchester United to remain in Premier League
Brighton secured their place in the Premier League next season, with a 1-0 win over Manchester United on Friday.United manager, Jose Mourinho, made six changes to his side with the FA Cup final against Chelsea in mind.
But it was Pascal Gross who scored the only goal of the game, as the hosts recorded their first victory over the Red Devils since 1982.
The win moved Brighton up to 11th place, eight points clear of relegation places.
By contrast, defeat means United must wait to secure second place, as they remain five points clear of Liverpool with Tottenham a point further adrift.
