Nigeria’s former Minister of Aviation and PDP chieftain, Femi Fani-Kayode , has reacted to report of Oba Adbulrasheed Akanbi , the Oluwo of Iwo’s decision to drop the Oba title and adopt the Emir title popularly known with Northern traditional rulers.
According to Femi Fani-Kayode who cursed the monarch, Oba Adbulrasheed Akanbi , is a ‘gutless treacherous bastard, an Islamofascist who has sold his people to the Fulani raiders’.

His tweet reads;

This is Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, the Oluwo of Iwo who now insists that he must be called the Emir of Yorubaland. He is a gutless and treacherous bastard who is an Islamofascist and who has sold his people to the Fulani raiders. May God curse the day that he was born.

The former Minister also reacted to late U.S activist, Martin Luther King Jnr’s nephew, Mr. Isaac Newton-Farris, who said Nigerians should be ashamed for slandering his family over the award they gave President Buhari.

Femi Fani-Kayode stated in his tweets, that Mr. Isaac Newton-Farris’s family didn’t honor Nigerians but President Buhari who he tagged a ‘murderous tyrant’. His tweet reads;

“Nigerians should be ashamed for slandering our name”-Isaac Luther King. You came to our country and gave a deeply racist ethnic and religious bigot, a genocidal maniac and an ethnic cleanser an award.U did not honor Nigerians u honored a murderous tyrant.The shame is yours!

On the other hand, we reported earlier today that Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdul-Rasheed Akanbi denied reports which claimed he has dumped the ‘Oluwo of Iwoland’ title, to become an emir.

Speaking through his media aide, Mr. Ali Ibrahim, in a statement issued on Sunday, the Monarch explained that he had never dropped the title of an Oba for an emir. The response came after he was criticized by many Nigerians especially the Yorubas, who wondered why a sitting traditional ruler will adopt the title of a foreign king.
