The SUG president of a Nigerian university has been beaten to stupor, leaving him hospitalized afterwards.
A video has shown the the Student Union President of the Niger Delta University (NDU) in a sorry state after he was attacked.
Local reports show that the young man is currently battling for survival at Tantua hospital, Amassoma, Bayelsa State.
It is reported that the SUG president was beaten to a pulp by thugs believed to have been sent by the Chairman of the Ijaw Youth Council, Tari Porri.
Trouble allegedly started due to the students’ demand for their school fees to be reduced. It was gathered that their protest was, however, hijacked by the thugs and the president was severely beaten.
