Pandemonium As SARS Officer Kills Man In Kogi State



A trigger happy member of the Special Anti Robbery Squad has reportedly killed a middle-aged livestock seller in Kogi state.

There was commotion in Ganaja village, Ajaokuta local government area of Kogi state when a serving member of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) killed a middle-aged livestock seller.

According to Nigerian Tribune, the SARS official was also said to have knocked down a little girl hawking with his motorcycle before killing the deceased identified as Ibrahim Ali.

Youths of the area mobilised to protest the killing.

It was gathered that trouble started when the police officer knocked the girl and the people around the scene compelled him to take her to the hospital for treatment.

The SARS operative was said to have refused and instead called his colleagues on phone to come to his rescue as the mob was increasing and a serious argument ensued.

An eyewitness said immediately his colleagues arrived in a Toyota Hilux van, the killer policeman went into the vehicle, brought out an AK 47 rifle and started shooting following which the bullets hit Ali who was among the crowd.

Upon discovery that he had killed someone, the policeman was said to have continued shooting to enable him and his colleagues escape from the scene of the incident.
