Reporter Asks Hazard If It Was A Penalty, He Replies Perfectly
Eden Hazard replied brilliantly when asked if it was penalty.
Arsenal and Chelsea played out a thrilling 2-2 draw on Wednesday night.
After a goalless first half, the second period of the game sparked into life.
Jack Wilshere opened the scoring with a stunning strike. Though Chelsea went up the other end and leveled.
Hector Bellerin conceded a penalty by tackling Hazard who successfully converted.
Marcos Alonso made it 2-1 to the visitors before Bellerin went from villain to hero after grabbing a last-gasp goal courtesy of a superb effort.
And after the game, Bellerin and Hazard spoke to Geoff Shreeves. He put forward the question to the pair about the award of the spot-kick.
Bellerin answered by saying he wanted to see the repay, while Hazard said: “No. We don’t need the replay. Yeah, it’s a penalty” before laughing in the Spaniard’s face.
Both teams earned a point which meant Chelsea missed the chance to go above United.
Chelsea are now one point off second place United, while Arsenal stay in sixth with 39 points on the board – one point adrift of Spurs, and a further five points off Liverpool who occupy the final Champions League spot.
Arsenal vs. Chelsea meet again next week. This time in the League Cup.
