The adage that ideas rule the world came to reality at the premises of the Anambra Broadcasting Service Corporate Headquarters Awka,
as two sons of Ekwulobia, Aguata Council Area, showcased an electric generator they constructed that can be operated without petrol or gas.
The two men, Messers Gabriel Obinna and Moses Ezeilegbunam, said that they were moved by the high cost of petrol and epileptic power supply in the country.
Speaking to the ABS, Mr. Obinna who explained how the electric generator was constructed, said that the generator with nine hundred wax capacity will power ceiling fan, standing fan, television, table top fridge and can work for forty eight hours nonstop.
According to Mr. Ezeilegbunam, the generator is highly ideal at a moment like this as it hardly needs maintenance and made it clear that with government support as well as affluent individuals from the society, they can construct the one that can power air conditioner, refrigerators of all kinds, electric heater among others, as lack of finance is their major challenge.
What else can one say, as Ndi Anambra continue to rock the world with their intellectual ingenuity, it behoves on the government and affluent people in the society to ensure that this feat achieved by the two young men do not die off.
Maybe with this development, Nigeria is a little step closer to saying good bye to epileptic power supply.
Correspondent Chibuzor Okoye who interviewed the two young men, reports that switching on of the generator added glamour
