A biafran from Abia has done the first successful kidney transplant in Nigeria
Record was broken yesterday with a hallmark achievement at Federal Medical Center, FMC, umuahia in Abia State after the first ever successful kidney transplant was carried out in Nigeria.
According to a source close to us and a Nurse with the Medicine department of the hospital, the machine needed for the transplant was brought few weeks to the operation.
Our source describe Dr. Chime Ichi who was among the team of doctors that carried out the delicate operation, as an epitome of meekness and humility.
