One Barcelona Attacker ‘Dead After Shootout With Police’ As Car Rams Into Police Checkpoint Following Las Ramblas Terror
One Barcelona attacker has been killed after a shootout with police, according to local reports.
The incident reportedly occurred on the outskirts of the Spanish capital after at least 13 people were killed and dozens more were injured in a van attack this afternoon.
It was unclear if the death was related to reports of an incident involving a white Ford Focus refusing to stop at a police checkpoint on the outskirts of the city.
Meanwhile, police have reportedly confirmed two people have been arrested since the attack this afternoon.
In the Ford Focus incident, Catalan police said the car ran into two policeman at a police checkpoint in the city.
