Trae Tha Truth’s upcoming album Tha Truth Pt. 3 is set to drop on July 21st, and the Houston rapper has dropped a new single called “To Late,” featuring Post Malone. The Mook Beats produced instrumental is eerie in ambiance, with a minor key arpeggio like somebody playing piano in the dark. The trap inspired drums simultaneously propel the track forward and slow it down, giving the whole thing a distinctly underwater feel.
Trae impresses with his flow, mirroring the beat and dividing his rhymes between relaxed and double time. Post does his thing, and if you’re a fan of Malone, you’ll most probably dig this one.
